California Family Session by Naz Films :: Fine Art Super 8mm & 16mm Films

California twin sisters, Gabriela & Isabela along with their Mom, Dad, and Grandma share a late afternoon together horseback riding in the valley’s of Riverside, CA.

I am a believer in documenting life’s moments…

Allow me to share a personal realization. Not too long ago (in fact December 1st was that day) I lost my father to cancer, and now ALL I look for are the memories… moments together doing stuff that families do, and for whatever reason connect deeply and a bit more viscerally on film. There is something very special to super 8mm film… it allows for the heart and mind to drift and dream! You feel as much as you see…

This has been a year of new friends from all over the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Italy and now through my Instagram all over! One incredibly talented and beautiful friend is Californian photographer Gina over at warmpears

Gabriela and Isabela’s parents who are near and dear to her were introduced to me by Gina. I wish I could film these girls every year!

  2. Let me take a moment here…

You have a gift man..what a great visual record for this family. They were very lucky to have found you, and to choose you to make this movie of their daughters. Cute!
There are so many great shots within this movie – the shot of their boots lined up, the focus on the birds flying around, the close crop of the parents much great stuff here.

    Really really great!

PS. I think I’m going to go watch the movie you made for my sons 5th B-Day now.

  5. stunning! You have captured the inner beauty of these special girls. Thank you! This is something we will treasure forever. I lost my dad a few years ago and some of my fondest memories are captured in 8mm family films. Thank you for connecting this to my family history. LOVE.
